Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US Stocks fluctuated over the course of the trading session on Wednesday before ending the day mostly lower. The choppy trading on the day partly reflected the volatility shown by the markets over the past several sessions. The Dow edged down by 0.1 percent to 25625 and the Nasdaq slid 0.6 percent to 7643.

U.K. Market held steady on Wednesday and the pound hovered below a recent ninemonth high as investors awaited a series of indicative votes in the British parliament on how to end an impasse on Britains European Union exit. The FTSE 100 was down by 0.01% to 7196.

On domestic front Indian shares ended a volatile session with modest losses on Wednesday. The benchmark BSE Sensex was ended down by 0.3% to 38132 at the end of trading session.
