Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US Stocks saw considerable volatility during the trading day on Thursday. The major averages showed some wild swings before ending the session on opposite sides of the unchanged line. The Dow fell 0.5 percent to 26462 while the Nasdaq was ended up 0.2 percent to 8118.

U.K. markets fell on Wednesday amid concerns that China will reduce its economic stimulus following some signs of stabilization in the worlds secondlargest economy. FTSE 100 was down by 0.4 percent at 7484.

On domestic front Indian shares fell notably on Thursday with weak cues from global markets rising oil prices and weakness in rupee weighing on markets on eve of FO expiry. The benchmark BSE Sensex ended the session down by 0.8 percent at 38730.
