Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
The US stocks moved modestly higher over the course of the trading session on Monday extending the upward trend seen over the past several sessions. With the continued advance the major averages once again reached new record closing highs. The Dow rose 0.3 percent to 28551 and Nasdaq 0.2 percent to 8946.

UK stocks were moving lower on Monday and the pound treaded cautiously after Prime Minister Boris Johnson won approval for his Brexit deal in parliament on Friday. The FTSE 100 increased by 0.1 per cent to 7575.

On domestic front Indian shares were little changed in cautious trade Monday with stockspecific activity seen ahead of a public holiday on Wednesday and the expiration of December series derivative contracts due on Thursday. The benchmark BSE Sensex was up by 0.01 per cent to 41643.
