Indian market is expected to open on a negative note tracking the SGX Nifty.
Extending the upward trend seen over the past several weeks US markets moved mostly higher during trading on Friday. With the advance all three of the major averages once again ended the session at record closing highs. The strength on Wall Street reflected a continuation of the upward momentum seen following Presidentelect Donald Trumps surprise victory in last months elections.
The majority of the European markets ended Fridays session with modest gains. The markets were locked in a sideways trend for much of the day but took out the highs of the day in late trade following the positive open on Wall Street.
Indian markets rose on Friday after the European Central Bank prolonged its bond buying program by nine months to support a recovery. Gains remained somewhat capped amid a fall in rupee from a nearly one month high.
