Who Is Eligible for the Bihar Internship Scheme 2025?

To participate in the Bihar Internship Scheme, candidates must meet the following key eligibility requirements:

  • Age Limit: Applicants must be between 18 and 28 years old.
  • Residency: Must be a permanent resident of Bihar.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed one of the following:
  • Passed Class 12 (Higher Secondary)
  • Hold an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate
  • Diploma from a Polytechnic Institute
  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree in any field
  • Skill Development: Preference is given to those who have undergone skill development training or certification.
  • Family Income: The family’s annual income should not exceed ₹8 lakh.
  • No Government Employment: No immediate family member should be a permanent government employee.

Benefits Under Bihar Internship Scheme

  • Class 12 Pass Candidates: ₹4,000 per month stipend during internship.
  • ITI Diploma Holders: ₹5,000 per month.
  • Graduates and Postgraduates: ₹6,000 per month.
  • Additional allowances are provided for internships outside the home district or state.

Important Points to Note

  • The internship duration ranges from 3 to 12 months.
  • The scheme supports youth who are currently unemployed and seeking practical experience.
  • The scheme encourages skill enhancement and industry readiness among Bihar’s youth.
