Raymond Limited has announced the appointment of Bhanu Prakash Srivastava as the CEO of its Defence Business, effective July 6, 2026, as per the exchange filings.  

This appointment is part of the company's strategic move to strengthen its position in the defence and aerospace sector. 

Bhanu Prakash Srivastava's Extensive Experience 

Mr. Bhanu Prakash Srivastava holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT-BHU, Varanasi, and a Master of Business Administration. He has accumulated over 4 decades of experience at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), where he held various senior leadership roles.  

His tenure at BEL included significant contributions to business growth in areas such as military and telecom switching equipment, C4I systems, radars, sonars, and communication systems for the navy. 

As Chairman & Managing Director of BEL, Bhanu Prakash tripled market capitalisation from ₹51,000 crore to ₹1.5 lakh crore, secured ₹55,000+ crore in new orders, and launched 100+ products while strengthening R&D. 

Leadership at Bharat Electronics Limited 

During his time at BEL, Mr. Srivastava served as Chairman & Managing Director from 2022 to 2024. His leadership was instrumental in driving profitability and business expansion across several domains, including manufacturing, project management, and quality management.  

His expertise spans diverse functions, making him a valuable addition to Raymond's senior management team.

He will spearhead the company's long-term defense strategy, shifting Raymond's existing engineering strengths from precision manufacturing into higher-value verticals.  

These focus areas include defence electronics, software solutions, systems integration, and adjacent automotive and aerospace technologies.
