
Welspun Enterprises Limited has been awarded a significant contract for the development of a 6-lane, partially elevated highway corridor on NH-753F, covering the Pune-Shirur section in Maharashtra. This project is valued at ₹7,300 crore.
The project involves constructing a 6-lane highway corridor along with improvements to the existing road from Km. 10+600 to Km. 64+000.
This section of NH-753F is located in Maharashtra, and the project will be executed on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) basis.
The concession period for this project is 29 years, including a 4-year construction phase.
The Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (MSIDC) awarded the contract, acting as the implementing agency.
The project aims to enhance connectivity across key nodes such as Wagholi, Kharadi, Lonikand, Ranjangaon, and Shikrapur, thereby reducing congestion and improving freight efficiency.
With this new project, Welspun Enterprises' outstanding order book has increased to ₹18,755 crore, after accounting for execution done in Q4 FY26.
The order book is diversified across various segments, with ₹10,813 crore from the Water Vertical, ₹1,791 crore from the Tunnelling segment, and ₹6,152 crore from the Transportation Vertical, which includes this latest project.

Mr. B.K. Goenka, Chairman of Welspun World, highlighted the importance of infrastructure in driving India's growth.
He emphasised that projects like the Pune-Shirur corridor are crucial for unlocking regional economic potential and creating long-term value for communities and industries.
Mr. Sandeep Garg, Managing Director of Welspun Enterprises, noted that the addition of this project rebalances the company's order book and enhances revenue visibility.
He reiterated the company's focus on disciplined bidding and execution.
As of April 30, 2026, at 9:17 AM, Welspun Enterprises share price on NSE was trading at ₹548.65 up by 1.58% from the previous closing price.
