Vikran Engineering Ltd has accepted Letters of Award for setting up grid-connected solar photovoltaic power plants with an aggregate capacity of 45.75 MW (AC) in Madhya Pradesh.
The awards were issued by M.P. Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. The projects will be executed in Vidisha district, according to the company’s filing dated December 26, 2025.
The solar plants will be developed under the Surya Mitra Krishi Feeders Scheme, which operates within the PM KUSUM-C programme. The scheme focuses on feeder-level solarisation to support agricultural electricity supply.
Power generated from these projects will be sold to Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Ltd (MPPMCL), the state-level power procurement agency.
Under the terms of the awards, Vikran Engineering will act as the Renewable Power Generator for the projects.
The power purchase agreements are valid for a period of 25 years. Tariffs approved under the LoAs are in the range of ₹2.75 per unit to ₹2.80 per unit, as stated by the company.
The company stated that the contracts have been awarded by a domestic government entity. It also clarified that the awards do not involve any related party transactions. These disclosures were made in compliance with stock exchange and regulatory requirements applicable to listed companies.
Vikran Engineering undertakes engineering, procurement and construction work across segments such as power transmission and distribution, water infrastructure and railway electrification. The company has also executed solar and renewable energy projects as part of its operations.
As per company data, Vikran has completed 45 projects across 14 states for clients that include NTPC, Power Grid Corporation of India and various state utilities.
As of December 29, 2025, at 10:58 am, Vikran Engineering share price was trading at ₹106.85, a 6.06% increase from the previous closing price.

The acceptance of LoAs for the 45.75 MW solar projects reflects continued participation by Vikran Engineering in state-backed renewable energy projects with long-term power sale arrangements in place.
