Vedanta Iron and Steel share price continued its post-listing rally on June 19, 2026, hitting the 5% upper circuit for the 5th consecutive trading session. The stock rose 4.97% to ₹25.57, its 52-week high, as investors continued to accumulate shares following the company's recent stock market debut.
The rally has lifted Vedanta Iron and Steel's market capitalisation to ₹9,998.86 crore from around ₹7,821 crore at the time of listing, while the stock has gained nearly 30% since its debut on the exchanges.
Vedanta Iron and Steel debuted on June 15, 2026, at ₹22 per share on the BSE following a special pre-open session, while the stock listed at ₹20 per share on the NSE under Vedanta's demerger plan.
Since listing, the stock has remained locked in the 5% upper circuit in every trading session, reflecting sustained buying interest. On June 19, the stock touched its fresh 52-week high of ₹25.57, while its 52-week low stands at ₹19.06 recorded on June 15.
The rally gained momentum after PI Opportunities AIF V LLP, an investment vehicle of Premji Invest, acquired nearly 4.84 crore shares worth ₹101.68 crore through a bulk deal shortly after the company's market debut.
The fund purchased the shares at ₹21.02 apiece, a transaction that attracted investor attention towards the newly listed company.
Under Vedanta's demerger plan announced in April, every eligible shareholder received 1 share each in Vedanta Aluminium, Vedanta Power, Vedanta Oil and Gas and Vedanta Iron and Steel for every Vedanta share held as of the record date of May 1.
The demerger is aimed at creating independent businesses with separate listed entities.
Vedanta Iron and Steel share price has hit the upper circuit for the 5th consecutive trading session since its listing, taking its gains to nearly 30%. The rally has been accompanied by an increase in market capitalisation and investor interest following the company's market debut and institutional participation through a bulk deal.
