Vedanta Limited has been declared the successful bidder for the Punnam Manganese Block in Andhra Pradesh. The block was offered through an e-auction conducted by the Department of Mines & Geology, Government of Andhra Pradesh. 

The company disclosed the development to the stock exchanges on August 14, 2026. The disclosure followed the completion of the required statutory compliances. 

Block Spans 152 Hectares 

The Punnam Manganese Block covers 152 hectares and is currently at the G4 stage of exploration, the company said in its disclosure. 

Vedanta has not provided an estimate of the manganese resources available at the block. The filing also does not mention the expected production capacity, development expenditure, or a timeline for mining operations.
