Vakrangee Limited has received regulatory approval to continue running its White Label ATM (WLA) network across India, ensuring continuity of its assisted banking infrastructure in semi-urban and rural markets.
The company has secured an extension of its licence to set up, own and operate White Label ATMs until 31 March 2027.
This enables uninterrupted expansion and servicing of its ATM network across multiple states, especially in underbanked regions.
Vakrangee currently operates 5,905 White Label ATMs, with a strong rural concentration. Around three-fourths of these machines are located in Tier-4 to Tier-6 locations, aligned with the company’s last-mile financial access strategy.
The ATM network works in tandem with its Vakrangee Kendra outlets that deliver assisted banking and digital services.
As per exchange filings, Mr Vedant Nandwana, Managing Director, Vakrangee Ltd said, “We are happy to announce Renewal of Authorization of our White Label ATMs Business by RBI. ATMs form an integral part of our Vakrangee Kendra ecosystem and reinforce our commitment to delivering accessible financial services in rural and semi-urban areas”.
The ATM rollout complements the company’s wider physical-digital service model through over 23,000 Vakrangee Kendras nationwide.
Most of these centres are also based in smaller towns and villages and offer banking, insurance, payments and e-commerce services through assisted formats.
