United Spirits share price (NSE: UNITDSPR) rose more than 4% during intraday trade on July 24, 2026, even as the broader market remained weak. The stock touched an intraday high of ₹1,480, moving close to its 52-week high of ₹1,489.

The stock has gained around 6% over the last 3 trading sessions, supported by the company's steady financial performance for the June 2026 quarter (Q1 FY27).

United Spirits Q1 FY27 Results: Premium Brands Drive Growth

United Spirits reported a 6% year-on-year (YoY) increase in standalone revenue to ₹2,703 crore during the June quarter.

The company's Prestige and Above (P&A) portfolio grew 10.1% YoY, supported by strong demand for premium brands, including the Smirnoff flavoured range, along with healthy growth across its premium portfolio.

However, the Popular segment declined 17.5% YoY to ₹206 crore, mainly due to policy changes in Maharashtra and Karnataka.

Volume Performance

  • Overall sales volume declined 3.4% YoY.
  • P&A segment volumes slipped 1.3% YoY.
  • Popular segment volumes fell 14.1% YoY.

Margins and Profitability

The company reported a gross margin of 46%, an improvement of 200 basis points compared to the previous year. The improvement was driven by a better product mix and operational efficiencies.

However, EBITDA margin declined by 60 basis points to 15.8%, mainly because of higher advertising and promotional spending during the quarter. The impact of higher raw material costs linked to the West Asia situation also weighed on margins.

Long-Term Outlook

United Spirits believes the India–UK Free Trade Agreement will support premiumisation in the Indian alcoholic beverage market. The agreement reduces import duties on Scotch whisky and gin, making premium imported products more affordable over time.

The company also expects long-term growth to be driven by:

  • Rising disposable incomes.
  • Increasing preference for premium alcoholic beverages.
  • Growth in the number of legal-age consumers.
  • Expanding opportunities across the hospitality and beverage sectors.
