TVS Motor Share Price in Focus; Launches TVS King EV MAX in Sri Lanka

TVS Motor Company has launched its TVS King EV MAX, a connected electric passenger three-wheeler, in Sri Lanka as the company expands its electric mobility portfolio into another international market, as per the exchange filings. The launch took place in Colombo on August 13, 2026.
The company is positioning the model as a practical option for urban transport, where operating costs, range and vehicle uptime are important considerations for drivers.
179 Km Range and 9.2 kWh Battery
The TVS King EV MAX comes with a 9.2 kWh lithium-ion LFP battery and has a certified range of 179 km on a single charge. Its 11 kW motor enables acceleration from 0 to 30 km/h in 3.7 seconds, while the vehicle has a top speed of 60 km/h.
The vehicle offers three riding modes: Eco, City and Power with maximum speeds of 40 km/h, 50 km/h and 60 km/h, respectively.
Fast Charging and Connected Features
TVS says the battery can charge from 0% to 80% in 2 hours and 30 minutes, which is aimed at reducing downtime for commercial users.
The three-wheeler also gets TVS SmartXonnect, offering features such as navigation, vehicle alerts and diagnostics through a smartphone.
For drivers and operators, the company is also highlighting the potential reduction in running costs compared with conventional fuel-powered three-wheelers.
Sri Lanka Becomes New Market for TVS Electric Three-Wheeler
Three-wheelers are widely used in Sri Lanka for urban mobility, tourism and last-mile connectivity. TVS believes electric models could find greater acceptance as operators look for lower running and maintenance costs.
The King EV MAX has already been tested under Sri Lankan operating conditions. It is currently available through select dealerships and is expected to reach the wider channel network by September 2026.
6-Year Warranty
TVS is offering a warranty of six years or 150,000 km, whichever comes earlier, on the King EV MAX. The company said the warranty and after-sales support are intended to build confidence among customers shifting towards electric mobility.
TVS Lanka also plans to support the rollout through service readiness, spare-parts availability and after-sales support.
