TVS Motor Company Share Price in Focus; TVS Orbiter Electric Scooter Launched in Sri Lanka

TVS Motor Company has launched its TVS Orbiter electric scooter in Sri Lanka, as per an exchange filing.  

The company announced the launch from Colombo on August 14, 2026. The model will be supported by TVS Lanka’s sales and after-sales network in the country. 

Battery and Range 

The TVS Orbiter is fitted with a 3.1 kWh battery. It has an IDC range of 158 km, while TVS has specified a real-world range of 115 km. The scooter also comes with Eco and Power riding modes and regenerative braking. 

Size and Storage 

The scooter gets a 14-inch front wheel, which TVS describes as an industry-first feature. It has 169 mm of ground clearance, an 845 mm flat-form seat and a 290 mm straight-line footboard. Under-seat storage is rated at 34 litres, with space for two helmets. 

Technology Features 

The Orbiter has a connected mobile application and a coloured LCD cluster with incoming call display. The app allows users to check battery charge and the odometer remotely and provides turn-by-turn navigation. The scooter also supports calls, SMS, alerts and over-the-air updates. 

Safety and Equipment 

Safety-related features include crash and fall alerts, live location tracking, geo-fencing, time-fencing, anti-theft and towing alerts. Hill Hold Assist, Cruise Control and Parking Assist are also available. The scooter gets an LED headlamp with integrated indicators and a USB 2.0 charging port. 

Warranty and Colours 

TVS is offering a five-year or 60,000 km warranty on the battery and motor, whichever comes earlier. The Orbiter will be available in four colours: Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Cosmic Titanium and Martian Copper. 

TVS Lanka Operations 

TVS Lanka noted that it plans to support the scooter through sales outlets, after-sales service, spare-parts availability and trained EV specialists. The company also referred to the existing presence of the TVS iQube in Sri Lanka’s electric two-wheeler market.

TVS Motor Company Share Price Performance  

As of August 17, 2026, 11:55 am, TVS Motor Company share price was trading at ₹4,380.20, a 1.70% increase from the previous closing price. 

Conclusion
