Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited has received a new work order from Western Railway for infrastructure improvement in the electrified railway network.
The contract involves the installation of anti-bird discs on insulators in the electrified territory of the Vadodara Division. The order reflects continued investment in railway electrification infrastructure and maintenance to ensure reliable operations.
According to the company’s disclosure, Western Railway has awarded Texmaco Rail a contract valued at ₹3.54 crore, excluding taxes. The project involves providing anti-bird discs on insulators across electrified sections within the Vadodara Division.
Anti-bird discs are used in railway electrification systems to prevent birds from sitting on electrical insulators, which can lead to faults, power disruptions, or damage to infrastructure. Installing these protective components helps improve the reliability and safety of overhead electrification systems used for train operations.
The order has been awarded by a domestic entity and forms part of Western Railway’s infrastructure maintenance initiatives.
Texmaco Rail will execute the project within a defined timeframe. As per the order terms, the company is required to complete the entire work within 18 months from the date of the Letter of Acceptance.
The timeline provides sufficient scope for installation activities across the electrified sections while ensuring that the project supports the railway network’s operational requirements.
On March 18, 2026, Texmaco Rail share price opened at ₹90.00. At 10:34 AM, the share price of Texmaco Rail was trading at ₹92.13, up by 2.95% on the NSE.
