
On January 9, 2026, Tata Power successfully commissioned a 400/220 kV transmission line and substation in Greater Noida. This project enhances the power infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh and the Northern Grid.
The newly commissioned 400/220 kV Metro Depot Substation by Tata Power adds 1,000 MVA transformation capacity. This development aims to meet the increasing load demand in the Greater Noida and NCR region.
Additionally, surplus power from this system will be integrated into the Northern Grid, supporting power needs across other northern states.
This intra-state transmission system was executed under TP Jalpura Khurja Transmission Limited (TPJKPTL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power.
The project marks the first milestone under the Jalpura-Khurja TBCB project. Tata Power's timely execution underscores its commitment to precision-driven infrastructure development.

With this addition, Tata Power's transmission portfolio now spans 7,047 circuit kilometres of lines operational and under execution across India.
This expansion reinforces Tata Power's role in strengthening the nation's electricity transmission network.
