Syngene International share price declined more than 9% in early trade on July 30, 2026, after the company reported a net loss for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27). The weak quarterly performance and lower revenue weighed on investor sentiment, pushing the stock to a 52-week low.

The stock opened at ₹391 on the NSE and fell to an intraday low of ₹375.25. At around 9:30 AM, it was trading nearly 8.8% lower at ₹377.80, with around 2 million shares changing hands.

Syngene International reported a consolidated net loss of ₹9 crore in the first quarter of FY27, compared with a net profit of ₹86.7 crore in the same quarter last year.

Revenue from operations also declined to ₹736 crore, down from ₹874.5 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

The company's total expenses stood at ₹767 crore, compared with ₹790.9 crore in Q1 FY26.

Why Did the Company Report Loss?

According to the company, its quarterly earnings were affected by:

  • Lower revenue during the quarter
  • Employee separation costs
  • An exceptional expense of ₹13.5 crore related to termination benefits 

These factors together resulted in the company reporting a quarterly loss despite a reduction in overall expenses.

As of July 30, 2026, 11:08 AM, Syngene International share price (NSE: SYNGENE) was trading at ₹392.65, down ₹21.60 or 5.21% for the day. The stock opened at ₹391.00, touched an intraday high of ₹397.40, and fell to a 52-week low of ₹375.25 during the session.
