Suzlon Energy Share Price in Focus; Secures 250 MW Wind Order From Torrent Green Energy

Suzlon has started operations at 1,325 MW of wind energy projects in Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh, with an investment of ₹10,500 crore, as per The Business Standard report. The projects are expected to create around 1,600 direct and indirect jobs.
The company has also expanded its manufacturing facility in Ananthapuramu, where two more production lines have been added to the smart blade plant.
Two More Production Lines at Ananthapur
State IT Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated the expanded facility. The Ananthapur plant can produce 1,260 MW of equipment a year and currently supports more than 1,200 direct and indirect green jobs.
Suzlon is also running skill development programmes in the state. Its labs in Uravakonda and Vijayawada have trained around 12,000 young people, including 3,000 women.
Andhra Pradesh Business Crosses ₹15,500 Crore
Suzlon's relationship with Andhra Pradesh goes back more than two decades. During this period, the company said it has catalysed approximately ₹15,500 crore of investment in the state and is currently executing around 1,600 MW of wind projects.
The latest projects bring another sizeable investment to a state that has been attracting industrial and technology businesses.
Officials Point to Rising Power Needs
Lokesh said the state wants to build a clean energy ecosystem to support its industrial and economic growth. He said long-standing partnerships such as Suzlon's would be important for renewable energy development, investment and job creation.
Suzlon Vice Chairman and Co-Founder Girish Tanti said the company remains a long-term partner in the state's renewable energy journey.
CEO Ajay Kapur said the growth of data centres and other industries in Andhra Pradesh is creating new energy requirements and increasing the importance of integrated renewable energy solutions.
