Sun Pharma Share Price in Focus; Gets Global Rights to Lerodalcibep Ex-US and China

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has entered into a licensing agreement with LIB Therapeutics for lerodalcibep, a PCSK9 inhibitor used to lower LDL cholesterol, as per the exchange filing. Under the deal, Sun Pharma will handle commercialization and manufacturing across markets outside the United States and China.
The drug is already approved in the European Union under the brand name Lyrokaul. The agreement gives Sun Pharma access to a once-monthly treatment as it expands its presence in cardiovascular medicines.
Deal Covers Commercialisation and Manufacturing
LIB Therapeutics will receive an upfront payment, future milestone payments and royalties linked to net sales in the territories covered by the agreement. The remaining financial terms have not been disclosed.
Sun Pharma will also pursue approvals in markets where lerodalcibep has not yet received approval.
Lerodalcibep Gets Monthly Dosing
Lerodalcibep is given once a month through a 300 mg/1.2 mL injection. In the EU, Lyrokaul is approved for adults with primary hypercholesterolaemia and mixed dyslipidaemia.
The EU product can also be kept at room temperature of up to 25°C for as long as six months after being removed from refrigeration, provided it remains in its original carton.
PCSK9 Market Stands at $3.7 Billion
The PCSK9 inhibitor market outside the US and China was valued at $3.7 billion in MAT Q2 2026, according to IQVIA data cited by the companies.
It had grown at a 38% CAGR over the previous two years, while Europe accounted for $2.9 billion.
Management Sees Cardiovascular Opportunity
Sun Pharma Managing Director Kirti W. Ganorkar said the monthly dosing and storage flexibility add convenience for patients. He said the agreement strengthens the company's Innovative Medicines portfolio in cardiovascular care and will support wider access in its licensed markets.
LIB Therapeutics co-founder Evan Stein said Sun Pharma's international reach and experience with innovative medicines would help bring lerodalcibep to more patients.
