STL's Breakthrough in Optical Connectivity 

On March 25, 2026, STL unveiled its pioneering Hollow Core Fibre cable, marking a significant advancement in optical connectivity.  

Unlike traditional optical fibres that transmit light through a solid glass core, STL's HCF cable utilises an air-filled core. This design allows signals to travel approximately 46% faster, effectively reducing latency and signal loss. 

The introduction of this technology positions STL as a leader in the development and manufacturing of HCF technology in India, reinforcing its status as a global deep-tech innovator. 

Hybrid Cable Architecture 

STL has engineered a unique Hybrid Cable architecture to cater to the diverse needs of next-generation networks. This architecture combines: 

• Hollow Core Fibre: Offers ultra-low latency and high-power delivery.
• G.654.E Fibre: Optimised for ultra-low loss and large effective areas in long-haul transmissions.
• G.657.A1 NOVA: Ensures versatility and broad network coverage.
