Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited has reported fresh domestic project wins valued at approximately ₹3,550 crore, reinforcing its order pipeline for the current financial year.
The development includes a large scale solar EPC contract and an additional project from a private power producer.
The update coincides with notable movement in the company’s share price during early trading on April 20, 2026.
The company has emerged as the lowest bidder for a turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract involving an 875 MW (AC) solar photovoltaic project in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
This project has been awarded by Coal India and carries an estimated contract value of around ₹3,490 crore, inclusive of operations and maintenance and applicable taxes.
In addition, SWREL has secured a separate order for a 50 MW (AC) solar project in Maharashtra from a domestic independent power producer.
With these recent additions, the company’s total EPC order inflows for FY26 have exceeded ₹10,062 crore. This indicates a steady build-up in project activity during the year, supported by demand for utility-scale renewable installations.
Management commentary suggests that these wins contribute to closing the financial year with higher-than-initially anticipated order inflows, reflecting continued execution visibility.
India’s renewable energy sector continues to see incremental capacity additions, driven by policy support and rising demand for clean energy solutions. EPC contractors such as SWREL remain key participants in project execution across solar, hybrid and storage segments.
The company maintains a diversified presence, with operations spanning multiple geographies and a portfolio that includes both commissioned and under-construction assets.
Shares of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited were trading at ₹219.74 as of 10:25 AM on April 20, 2026, reflecting an increase of ₹25.77 (13.29%) compared to the previous close of ₹193.97.
The price movement aligns with the announcement of new orders, which may have influenced investor sentiment during the session.

The latest order wins add to Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy’s execution pipeline and take its FY26 inflows beyond the ₹10,000 crore mark. While the share price has shown an upward move in response, future performance is likely to depend on project execution, sector developments and broader market conditions.
