Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Share Price Surges Over 3%; Wins ₹985 Crore Orders in India and South Africa

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy informed the exchanges on September 22, 2026, that it had secured one order in Rajasthan and another in South Africa, as per the exchange filing.
The company said the two orders together are worth more than ₹985 crore, including taxes. The Rajasthan order is from a new customer, while the South African project comes from an existing customer.
Rajasthan Project Worth 534.3 MWp
The Rajasthan order is from a leading independent power producer in India. Sterling and Wilson will work on the Balance of System (BOS) package for the project.
The project has a capacity of 534.3 MWp. The company estimates that it could reduce carbon dioxide emissions by around 0.80 million tonnes after commissioning.
This is also a new customer for Sterling and Wilson. The company said the order is part of its domestic renewable energy business.
South Africa Gets Two BESS Projects
The second order is for two BESS projects in South Africa, each with an energy storage capacity of 308 MWh. Together, the projects will have 616 MWh of storage capacity.
The order has come from a Middle East-based renewable energy project developer that is already a customer of Sterling and Wilson. The company will execute the project on a turnkey EPC basis.
Sterling and Wilson said the South African project will be its second-largest utility-scale BESS project.
Company Has 28.7 GWp Project Portfolio
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy provides engineering, procurement and construction services for renewable energy projects. Its work covers utility-scale solar, floating solar, hybrid and energy storage and wind projects.
The company currently has a project portfolio of more than 28.7 GWp, including projects that have been commissioned and those under construction. It also manages an operations and maintenance portfolio of 18.3 GWp of solar projects.
It operates across 28 countries, including India, South-East Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Australia and the Americas.

As of 22 September 2026, at 11:35 AM, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy share price was trading at ₹180.17 per share, reflecting a surge of 3.98% from the previous trading session.
