SpiceJet has announced a new international route connecting Ahmedabad directly with Sharjah. The non-stop service will begin operations from February 5, 2026, further strengthening the airline’s presence in the UAE. Sharjah will become SpiceJet’s second destination in the country after Dubai.
The Ahmedabad–Sharjah service will run 5 times a week, operating on all days except Tuesday and Wednesday. The schedule has been designed to provide passengers with more travel options and better flexibility.
Ahmedabad shares strong trade and cultural ties with the UAE and is home to a large Gujarati diaspora. Sharjah, known as the cultural capital of the UAE, is a popular hub for both business and leisure travel, making it a strategic addition to SpiceJet’s international routes.
Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer of SpiceJet, said that Sharjah’s importance as a cultural and regional hub makes it a valuable destination. He added that the new route highlights growing travel demand between India and the UAE.
Sharjah is the UAE’s third-largest emirate and uniquely borders all 6 other emirates. It is famous for its heritage landmarks, museums, mosques, and archaeological sites dating back thousands of years.
Passengers can now book tickets for the Ahmedabad–Sharjah flights through SpiceJet’s website, mobile app, and authorised travel agents.
