In the September 2026 quarter, Sona BLW Precision Forgings Limited's net profit rose by 30.8% year-on-year to ₹222.99 crore, compared to ₹170.47 crore a year earlier. The company's total income also increased by 18.1% quarter-on-quarter from ₹1,336.07 crore in the June 2026 quarter. 

For the half-year ending September 30, 2026, the company reported a 41.7% year-on-year increase in total income, reaching ₹2,913.44 crore, up from ₹2,055.56 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Net profit for the half-year rose by 37.4% year-on-year to ₹401.50 crore, compared to ₹292.17 crore in the previous year. 

Electric Vehicle Segment and Order Book 

The battery electric vehicle segment saw a 129% year-on-year revenue increase during the quarter, contributing to a 51% share of total automotive revenues. The company's electric vehicle, robotics, and physical artificial intelligence programs now form 65% of the total net order book. 

Sona Comstar secured new orders worth ₹3,600 crore in the second quarter, raising the total net order book to ₹25,100 crore. The company also reported exceptional free cash flow generation, with half-yearly operating cash exceeding the total figures recorded throughout the entire prior year. 

Quality Accolades and Product Commercialisation 

The Driveline Division won the 2026 Deming Prize for Total Quality Management practices. The company also commercialised three new products during the quarter: helical limited slip differentials, coach air springs, and rear radar sensors for two-wheelers. 

Major Contracts and Global Presence 

Sona BLW Precision Forgings Limited secured several major contracts, including a ₹700 crore helical limited slip differential program and a ₹1,250 crore traction motor volume program. The company operates manufacturing plants and research hubs worldwide, with a presence in India, the United States, Serbia, Mexico, and China.
