Solex Energy Share Price Surges; Secures ₹628.37 Crore Domestic Solar Module Order

Solex Energy Limited has received a domestic work order worth ₹628.37 crore, including applicable duties and taxes, for the supply of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules.
The contract has been awarded by a domestic Independent Power Producer (IPP), although the name of the customer has not been disclosed. The company disclosed the development in a regulatory filing dated July 9, 2026.
Supply to Continue till March 2027
The order will be executed over six months, with deliveries scheduled between October 2026 and March 2027. Solex Energy will manufacture and supply N-Type TOPCon Glass-to-Glass (G12R) solar PV modules with capacities of 615 Wp and 620 Wp.
The company has not disclosed the quantity of modules covered under the agreement.
Customer Details Kept Confidential
In its filing, Solex Energy said the order has come from a well-known Independent Power Producer that is part of a global group with operations in several countries.
While the identity of the customer has not been revealed, the company described it as a renewable energy business with an established presence in the sector. No project location or end-use details have been shared.
No Related Party Involvement
The company stated that the contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and is not a related-party transaction. It also confirmed that its promoters and promoter group companies have no interest in the organisation awarding the order.
These disclosures were made as part of the information required under SEBI's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations.

Apart from the contract value and execution timeline, Solex Energy did not disclose commercial terms such as payment milestones or the financial impact on future earnings.
The filing only states that the order relates to the manufacture and supply of solar PV modules and will be carried out according to the agreed contractual terms.
