Sigma Advanced Systems Limited has initiated manufacturing at its new aerospace facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, as reported on the exchange filings on September 10, 2026.  

The plant was completed in 8 months and has begun shipping precision aerospace components to the UK division. Initial approvals with Rolls-Royce Aerospace have been completed. 

Facility Capacity and Future Expansion 

The initial operational phase covers 75,000 sq ft, providing a production capacity of 1,00,000 annual machining hours for precision components.  

Plans are in place to scale up to 3,00,000 annual machining hours. The entire campus is set to expand to 5,00,000 sq ft. 

Capability Replication Strategy 

The project aims to replicate Sigma UK's advanced aerospace manufacturing capabilities in India. The remaining campus segments are scheduled to become active within the next 12 months.  

Once fully functional, 70% of core manufacturing processes will be managed locally, driving EBITDA expansion. 

Employment and International Footprint 

The Sri City plant is expected to create over 500 jobs in the next 3 years, focusing on precision welding, engineering, and advanced fabrications.  

Sigma's international supply footprint is supported by its UK subsidiaries, Nasmyth and Bromford, which develop avionics, naval systems, radars, and defence communication systems.

As of September 10, 2026, at 11:30 AM, Sigma Advanced Systems share price on NSE was trading at ₹781.05, up by 3.44% from the previous closing price.
