Shiprocket shares rose 8.5% to a high of ₹155.69 as market interest surged following Goldman Sachs' acquisition of over 40 lakh shares through a bulk transaction, as per the NSE data. 

Goldman Sachs Acquisition Boosts Shiprocket Shares 

On August 20, 2026, Shiprocket shares rose 8.5% to an early market high of ₹155.69, compared to the previous market close of ₹143.45.  

Following the initial surge, shares traded 5.6% higher at ₹151.49 during the morning hours. The increase followed the acquisition of 40,24,040 shares by Goldman Sachs' entity, Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio, at ₹131 apiece, the listing price on the National Stock Exchange. 

Listing Day Performance and Investor Gains 

Shiprocket shares debuted on August 19, 2026, at ₹131 each, reflecting a 35.05% premium over the IPO issue price of ₹97. On the Bombay Stock Exchange, the stock's listing was at a 33.51% premium at ₹129.50.  

Investors gained ₹20,174 per lot from an initial investment of ₹14,938 for 154 shares per lot. As of August 20, 2026, Shiprocket shares provided an 18.8% return since their listing. 

Investments and Plans for IPO Funds 

In its RHP submitted to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Shiprocket outlined plans for the ₹885 crore raised from the fresh issue. The funds will support marketing initiatives, technology improvements, debt repayment, and potential acquisitions.

As of August 20, 2026, at 10:09 AM, Shiprocket share price on NSE was trading at ₹152.85, up by 6.55% from the previous closing price.

Shiprocket shares saw an 8.5% rise to ₹155.69 in response to a bulk acquisition of 40,24,040 shares by Goldman Sachs. By August 20, 2026, they offered investors a return of 18.8% since listing on August 19, 2026.
