Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has announced a significant empanelment from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply and installation of 16,025 off-grid solar water pumping systems.
The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations.
According to the filing, the empanelment covers off-grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP to be deployed across Maharashtra under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana and PM-KUSUM B scheme.
The total order value is ₹443.78 crore, inclusive of GST, and the project must be executed within 60 days from the issuance of the work order or notice to proceed.
Annexure details show that the scope of work includes design, manufacturing, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of the systems. The order has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not fall under related-party transactions.
The project’s tight 60-day execution window highlights the scale and urgency of Maharashtra’s solar pump deployment drive aimed at supporting farmers with reliable off-grid irrigation solutions.
With over 16,000 units to be delivered and commissioned, the order underscores the company’s position in India’s solar pumping segment and reinforces the role of distributed renewable systems in agricultural use cases.
The filing confirms that promoters have no interest in the awarding entity, and the contract has been secured independently and at arm’s length.
