SBI Funds Management Limited, the asset manager of SBI Mutual Fund, made a positive stock market debut on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. The stock listed at ₹613.30 on the NSE, a 6.85% premium over its IPO issue price of ₹574 per share. On the BSE, the stock debuted at ₹610, reflecting a 6.27% premium to the issue price.

The listing comes after strong investor interest in one of India's largest and oldest asset management companies. At 10:59 AM, the stock was trading 1.57% higher at ₹622.95 on the NSE, taking the company's market capitalisation to ₹1.27 lakh crore.

About SBI Mutual Fund 

SBI Funds Management Limited, incorporated in 1992, is India's largest asset management company by Quarterly Average Assets Under Management (QAAUM). As of March 31, 2026, it managed mutual fund QAAUM of ₹12.51 lakh crore, accounting for a 15.3% market share.

Including Portfolio Management Services (PMS) and advisory mandates, its total QAAUM stood at ₹29.46 lakh crore. The company has been managing SBI Mutual Fund since 1993 and serves nearly 18 million investors through 128 mutual fund schemes spanning equity, debt, ETFs, index funds, overseas funds, liquid funds, arbitrage and overnight funds.

Apart from mutual funds, the company also offers Portfolio Management Services (PMS), Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), Specialized Investment Funds (SIFs) and manages offshore India-focused investment mandates.

SBI Mutual Fund Financial Performance

SBI Funds Management reported another year of strong profitability in FY26.

Its total income increased to ₹4,976.11 crore in FY26 from ₹4,236.15 crore in FY25, while profit after tax (PAT) rose to ₹3,067.38 crore from ₹2,540.15 crore a year earlier. EBITDA also improved to ₹4,058.44 crore during the year.

The company's financial performance highlights its ability to generate consistent earnings despite fluctuations in assets and net worth, supported by its leadership position in India's fast-growing mutual fund industry.
