
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for an East Central Railway project worth ₹358.97 crore, as per the exchange filings.
The EPC contract involves doubling works on the Sitamarhi-Raxaul section in the Samastipur Division of East Central Railway and is scheduled to be completed within 1,095 days.
RVNL said it has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for the project awarded by East Central Railway.
The contract is valued at ₹358.97 crore (₹358,97,42,420.53), including GST, and falls under the normal course of the company's business.
The scope of work includes construction of doubling lines, earthwork, blanketing, minor and major bridges, station and platform works, level crossing works and other miscellaneous infrastructure.
The project covers a 41.04 km stretch from Kundawa Chainpur (excluding) to Raxaul (excluding) under the Sitamarhi-Raxaul doubling project.
According to the company, the project will be executed over a period of 1,095 days.
The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) tender.

As of 20 July 2026, RVNL share price closed at ₹226.87 per share, reflecting a surge of 0.63% from the previous trading session.
The ₹358.97 crore L1 bid strengthens RVNL's railway infrastructure order pipeline and reinforces its execution capabilities in large-scale EPC projects. The 41.04 km doubling project is expected to be completed over the next three years.
