Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has secured multiple Letters of Award (LOAs) from National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) Limited for infrastructure development projects at Bacheli in Chhattisgarh.
The contracts involve construction of residential towers and a shopping complex to support workforce and township infrastructure at NMDC’s iron ore mining facilities.
NMDC Limited, a domestic public sector mining company, has awarded three separate contracts to RVNL under general contract conditions. All projects are domestic in nature and are aimed at enhancing residential and commercial infrastructure within the mining township.
The first project involves construction of residential towers at Iron Ore Deposit-5 in Bacheli, with a project value of ₹796.80 crore.
The second contract relates to construction of residential towers at Iron Ore Deposit-10/11A at Bacheli, valued at ₹536.40 crore.
The third project includes construction of residential towers along with a shopping complex in Bacheli, with a total contract value of ₹644.84 crore.
Each of the awarded projects carries an execution timeline of 34 months. The scope primarily includes civil construction works designed to improve living and commercial infrastructure for employees and stakeholders associated with NMDC’s mining operations.
The projects are expected to enhance township facilities, support workforce accommodation needs, and improve access to essential services through integrated residential and commercial development.
The combined value of the three contracts stands at approximately ₹1,978.04 crore, inclusive of all applicable taxes. Securing multiple high-value projects from a reputed public sector enterprise significantly enhances RVNL’s order book visibility and revenue pipeline.
These contracts also highlight RVNL’s growing expertise in executing complex infrastructure projects across sectors such as mining, urban development, and industrial infrastructure.
As per disclosures, the orders have been awarded by a domestic entity, NMDC Limited. RVNL’s promoter or promoter group does not hold any interest in NMDC concerning these contracts. Additionally, the projects do not fall under related party transactions, ensuring adherence to corporate governance and arm’s-length principles.
On February 27, 2026, RVNL share price opened ₹318.30. At 11:07 AM, the share price of RVNL was trading at ₹317.10, down by 0.38% on the NSE.
