RITES Share Price in Focus; CMD Rahul Mithal's Tenure Extended till June 2027

RITES will continue to have Rahul Mithal as its Chairman and Managing Director for longer than originally planned, as per the exchange filings.
The Ministry of Railways approved the extension of his tenure beyond October 6, 2026, when his existing term was scheduled to end.
Mithal to Stay on Until June 2027
The extension will keep Mithal in the CMD position until June 30, 2027, which is his date of superannuation. The order also says the extension will remain valid until further orders if that comes earlier.
The Ministry of Railways informed RITES about the decision through a letter dated August 20, 2026.

Company Completing Formalities
RITES said it is now working through the formalities needed to give effect to the extension. Further disclosure will be made separately once the relevant process is completed.
The filing itself does not give any reason for the extension or mention any new targets linked to Mithal's continued tenure.
