Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced a partnership with Meta Platforms to develop an AI-enabled data centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat.  

The project marks Meta's first built-to-suit data centre capacity in India and is expected to strengthen the country's position as a global hub for AI infrastructure. 

Reliance and Meta Partner for AI Data Centre 

Under the agreement, Reliance Industries will develop a 168 MW data centre in Jamnagar, with delivery targeted within 2 years. 

The facility will serve Meta's global infrastructure requirements, supporting its core business operations and growing AI computing needs. 

Reliance to Provide End-To-End Services 

According to the company, Reliance will provide comprehensive end-to-end services for the project. 

The scope includes design and construction, management of utilities, renewable power supply, network connectivity, and fully managed operational services throughout the lifecycle of the data centre. 

Jamnagar Chosen for Strategic Advantages 

The company stated that Gujarat offers several advantages for large-scale data centre operations, including renewable energy availability, water resources, strong connectivity infrastructure, and proximity to submarine cable landing stations. 

The facility will be powered by renewable energy and cooled using desalinated seawater, aligning with sustainability objectives. 

Project Supports India's AI Infrastructure Growth 

Reliance said the partnership represents a significant milestone in India's emergence as a destination for global AI infrastructure investments. 

The project is expected to support the country's digital infrastructure ecosystem while reinforcing the long-standing relationship between Reliance and Meta across connectivity, commerce, and technology initiatives.

Reliance Industries Share Price Performance 

As of 10 June 2026, at 12:50 PM, Reliance Industries share price is trading at ₹1,271.90 per share, reflecting a gain of 0.21% from the previous closing price.
