Reliance Industries Share Price in Focus; Allots ₹12,000 Crore Worth of NCDs via Private Placement

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has allotted 12 lakh non-convertible debentures (NCDs) for a total of ₹12,000 crore through a private placement. The allotment was made on September 16, 2026, according to the company’s filing.  

RIL Allots NCDs with ₹1 Lakh Face Value 

The securities have been issued under PPD Series Q. Each NCD has a face value of ₹1 lakh, with the 12 lakh debentures taking the total allotment to ₹12,000 crore. RIL had set the base issue at ₹10,000 crore and provided for a green shoe option of up to ₹2,500 crore.  

NCDs Mature in September 2031 

The NCDs have a five-year tenor and are scheduled to mature on September 16, 2031. They carry a fixed coupon of 7.47% per annum. The securities are unsecured, with no charge or security created over the company’s assets.  

Interest Payable Annually 

RIL will pay ₹7,470 for each NCD as the scheduled annual coupon. The payments are spread across five dates, September 16, 2027; September 18, 2028; September 17, 2029; September 16, 2030; and September 16, 2031.  

Proposed to Be Listed 

The company has proposed to list the NCDs on both BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited. The filing also records ‘CRISIL AAA/Stable’ from CRISIL Ratings and ‘CARE AAA/Stable’ from CARE Ratings.  

No Delay in Payments 

RIL’s filing states that there has been no delay in payment of interest or principal. The NCDs will be credited to the debenture holders’ demat accounts in due course.
