Qatar Holding Sells 0.4% Stake in Adani Energy Solutions; Birla Mutual Fund Acquires Shares Worth ₹644 Crore

As per PTI news report, Qatar Holding LLC, an affiliate of the Qatar Investment Authority, sold a 0.40% stake in Adani Energy Solutions through a block deal on the BSE on Friday. 

Exchange data showed that 48,05,974 shares were sold at an average price of ₹1,339 per share. The transaction value stood at ₹643.52 crore. 

Birla Mutual Fund Acquires Shares `  

Birla Mutual Fund purchased the entire lot of shares sold by Qatar Holding at the same price, according to block deal data available on the exchange. 

The transaction involved transfer of shares between institutional investors through the open market route. No further details related to the purpose of the sale were disclosed. 

Quarterly Income Rises 

In April, Adani Energy Solutions reported a consolidated net profit of ₹723 crore for the quarter ended March 2026. The figure was marginally higher than ₹714 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. 

Total income during the quarter rose to ₹7,588.08 crore from ₹6,596.39 crore a year earlier, supported by higher revenues across business segments. 

Full-Year Profit Doubles 

For FY26, the company reported a net profit of ₹2,392.75 crore, compared with ₹921.69 crore in the previous financial year. 

Annual total income increased to ₹28,325.16 crore from ₹24,446.55 crore in FY25, according to the company’s financial results. 

The company is part of the Adani Group’s energy transmission and distribution business and has operations across transmission networks, smart metering and energy infrastructure projects.
