PTC Industries Limited, a prominent Indian manufacturer of strategic materials, has announced a substantial order from the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), a key centre under the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
The order involves converting 40 tonnes of Grade 1 Titanium sponge into aerospace-grade titanium alloy ingots.
The order requires PTC Industries to convert 40 tonnes of Grade 1 Titanium sponge into Ti-6Al-4V Titanium alloy ingots.
This process employs Double Vacuum Arc Remelting (Double VAR), a critical secondary melting process that ensures the highest standards of chemical homogeneity, metallurgical cleanliness, and mechanical performance.
The Double VAR process is essential for meeting the stringent quality and purity requirements of space and aerospace applications.
This order is a testament to PTC Industries' metallurgical expertise and reflects the confidence that VSSC places in the company's capabilities.
It supports India's indigenous space and aerospace programmes while aligning with the Government of India's Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, which aims to strengthen domestic capabilities in critical strategic materials and reduce reliance on imports.
PTC Industries has established itself as a trusted supplier of mission-critical materials to India's leading aerospace and defence organisations, including Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), and BrahMos Aerospace.
The company has consistently met high standards of quality, reliability, and traceability.
PTC Industries also maintains a strong international presence, exporting titanium and superalloy castings to global aerospace and defence OEMs such as Safran, Dassault Aviation, BAE Systems, and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).
These relationships reinforce PTC's standing as a credible manufacturer of advanced aerospace materials.
As of January 07, 2026, at 1:14 PM, PTC Industries share price on NSE was trading at ₹17,733 down by 0.82% from the previous closing price.
