Prestige Group has entered into a strategic agreement with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to adopt and co-brand the Bellandur Metro Station in Bengaluru.
The collaboration reflects growing private sector participation in urban infrastructure development, aiming to improve commuter experience while supporting integrated mobility solutions across one of the city’s key commercial corridors.
Prestige Group has signed a definitive agreement with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited to adopt Bellandur Metro Station, which will be renamed “Prestige Bellandur Metro Station” under the partnership.
Through its subsidiary, Prestige Beta Projects Private Limited, the company will invest ₹115 crore, excluding GST, towards station upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and long-term operational collaboration over a 30-year concession period.
The agreement grants Prestige several strategic rights designed to support long-term engagement with the metro infrastructure. These include exclusive naming rights for three decades, access to 3,000 square feet of commercial space within the station premises, and advertising rights covering 1,000 square feet.
The arrangement also includes provisions for a future elevated connectivity bridge linking the station to Prestige Lakeshore Drive, improving last-mile accessibility for commuters and office occupants.
As part of the adoption initiative, Prestige will undertake interior enhancements, finishing works, and broader station improvements aligned with internationally recognised metro infrastructure standards.
The upgrades are planned in accordance with Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) benchmarks, supporting Bengaluru’s broader push towards sustainable and integrated urban development.
Bellandur Metro Station is located along the 17-kilometre Outer Ring Road (ORR) Metro Corridor connecting Silk Board to KR Puram. The corridor serves one of India’s largest office clusters, catering to a significant daily workforce.
Improved infrastructure at this location is expected to enhance commuter convenience and strengthen multi-modal connectivity across Bengaluru’s key employment hubs.
The collaboration represents a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) approach, combining public infrastructure with private sector investment and operational expertise. Such partnerships are increasingly being explored to accelerate infrastructure modernisation while improving service quality for urban commuters.
Prestige Group indicated that the initiative aligns with its broader objective of developing integrated urban ecosystems that combine workplaces, transit connectivity, and community infrastructure.
Prestige Group is a diversified real estate developer with projects spanning commercial, residential, retail, hospitality, and infrastructure-led developments across major Indian cities. The company continues to expand its presence through projects that integrate real estate development with urban infrastructure initiatives.
