On August 5, 2026, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited released its unaudited consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, as per the exchange filings.  

The company reported a total income of ₹11,696.72 crore and net profit of ₹3,598.42 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited reported a total income of ₹11,696.72 crore.  

This figure reflects a 2.2% increase compared to the income of ₹11,444.42 crore recorded during the same period 1 year ago.  

When compared to the preceding quarter ended March 31, 2026, the total income saw a decrease of 2.3% from the previously reported ₹11,970.69 crore. 

The net profit, or Profit After Tax, for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, was reported at ₹3,598.42 crore. This represents a decrease of 0.9% on a year on year basis when compared to the ₹3,630.58 crore reported in the same period of the previous year.  

On a quarter on quarter basis, the net profit declined by 20.9% from the ₹4,546.33 crore achieved in the quarter ended March 31, 2026. 

Annual Financial Performance for FY26 

The financial disclosures also highlighted performance metrics for the financial year 2026. During this period, the total income for Power Grid Corporation of India Limited reached ₹47,684.43 crore. Furthermore, the net profit for the entire financial year 2026 stood at ₹15,927.95 crore. 

Key Balance Sheet Parameters and Debt Ratios 

The company's standalone net worth reached ₹1,03,391.73 crore as of 30 June 2026, up from ₹96,058.59 crore a year earlier. Total borrowings for both standalone and consolidated entities were reported at ₹1,45,586.45 crore.  

This led to a standalone debt-equity ratio of 1.41 and a consolidated debt-equity ratio of 1.40. The standalone interest service coverage ratio (ISCR) was computed at 3.52. 

Segment-Wise Revenue and Contribution Breakdown 

The transmission segment continues to be the dominant driver, generating standalone segment revenue of ₹9,704.30 crore out of total segment revenue of ₹9,930.96 crore.  

Standalone consultancy segment operations contributed ₹226.66 crore. On a consolidated basis, transmission revenue was ₹10,929.16 crore, consultancy was ₹518.73 crore, and telecom revenue brought in ₹251.77 crore before accounting for inter-segment adjustments.

Fund Raising and Board Approvals 

The corporate board confirmed that ₹3,704.00 crore raised via private placement of non-convertible securities has been fully utilized with zero deviation.  

In parallel corporate developments, the board has approved extensive amalgamation schemes involving multiple wholly-owned transmission subsidiaries.  

It also confirmed asset-held-for-sale classifications for entire equity stakes in specific joint ventures and the Central Transmission Utility of India.
