
Persistent Systems announced a collaboration with Databricks and the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) to strengthen the pipeline of enterprise-ready AI talent.
The initiative is designed to provide students with practical exposure to enterprise AI engineering environments and help bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world AI implementation.
Developed in collaboration with the MSOE AI Club, the programme featured a Databricks-powered AI Hackathon aimed at enhancing AI delivery capabilities through collaboration between academia, industry practitioners, and technology platforms.
The initiative provided students with opportunities to work alongside AI professionals while gaining practical experience in building and deploying AI systems used in enterprise environments.
Using the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform and support from the Databricks University Alliance, participants gained exposure to modern data and AI engineering tools used in analytics, Generative AI, and operational AI deployments.
Students worked across different stages of the AI lifecycle using technologies such as Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Agent Bricks, and Databricks Workflows.
The programme focused on scalable AI pipelines, governed data environments, AI orchestration, operational scalability, governance, reliability, and production-grade AI architectures.

Persistent's senior architects and project leaders worked directly with participants throughout the initiative.
The mentorship component introduced students to architectural frameworks, governance practices, and enterprise deployment considerations, providing insights into how AI systems are developed and scaled within business environments.
As of June 4, 2026, Persistent Systems share price closed at around ₹5,122 each, up 0.46% on the BSE.
The current market capitalsiation of the company stands at ₹80,799.55 crore.
