Pace Digitek Limited secured a major battery energy storage system (BESS) project order from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC).
According to the company’s press release, Pace Digitek has received supply, erection, and long-term operation and maintenance contracts for a 250 MW / 500 MWh battery energy storage system project at Maithon, Jharkhand.
The combined contract value stands at ₹7,020 million, including GST.
The project scope covers design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and comprehensive operation and maintenance services.
The contract also includes associated civil, structural, and evacuation infrastructure works along with a 12-year long-term O&M component.
The company stated that supply and EPC execution activities are expected to be completed over an 18-month period.
This will be followed by a 12-year operation and maintenance phase under the contract structure.
The company described the project as its 1st BESS order win for FY27, building on the strong order inflow momentum witnessed during FY26.
During FY26, Pace Digitek reported energy segment order inflows of ₹58,147 million, supported by increasing demand across renewable-linked and energy storage opportunities.
The latest project strengthens the company’s presence in the utility-scale energy storage segment.
Pace Digitek stated that the order highlights its integrated execution capabilities across manufacturing, EPC execution, and lifecycle maintenance services within the BESS value chain.
Chairman and Managing Director Venugopal Rao Maddisetty said that “This order from DVC reinforces our position in utility-scale energy storage and the strength of our integrated model across manufacturing, EPC and lifecycle services.
As energy storage becomes central to renewable integration, we are scaling a manufacturing-led platform aligned to project execution, enabling disciplined delivery, cost efficiency and long-term asset performance. We remain focused on expanding our presence in this high-growth segment.”
Following the latest order win, the company stated that its overall BESS project portfolio has expanded to more than 5 GWh across renewable integration, utility-scale storage, and grid support applications.
