Pace Digitek Share Price Surges; Establishes Dedicated R&D Centre and Collaborates with IISER Pune

Pace Digitek Limited has expanded its research initiatives in the energy storage segment through its subsidiary, Lineage Power Private Limited (LPPL), by setting up the Pace-Lineage Research Centre in Pune, as per the exchange filings. 

The company has also entered into a research collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune to undertake research on advanced battery technologies and battery materials.  

Research to Strengthen Battery Technologies 

The new facility has been established to enhance research, engineering, and product development capabilities in Advanced Chemistry Cells (ACC) and energy storage solutions. 

Its research programme will cover Lithium-ion and Sodium-ion battery materials, while focusing on improving battery capacity, cycling stability, material coatings, microstructure, porosity, electrolyte design, material characterisation, electrochemical evaluation and cell parameter optimisation.  

Supporting Indigenous Innovation 

Aligned with the Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives, the centre aims to strengthen domestic battery technologies and energy storage capabilities. 

It will also evaluate raw materials from domestic suppliers to support indigenous technology development, strengthen local supply chains and expand Pace Digitek's in-house research and engineering expertise across the energy storage value chain.  

Management Highlights 

Venugopal Rao Maddisetty, Chairman and Managing Director of Pace Digitek Limited, said "technology and innovation will play a defining role in the future of energy storage." 

He added that the collaboration with IISER Pune combines scientific research with industry expertise to advance battery materials and indigenous technology development, while strengthening the company's innovation capabilities and creating "long-term value for our stakeholders."

As of 21 July 2026, at 2:17 PM, Pace Digitek Limited share price was trading at ₹205.99 per share, reflecting a surge of 1.76% from the previous trading session.
