Orient Green Power Share Price in Focus; Commissions 17.60 MW Solar Project in Tamil Nadu

Orient Green Power Company has commissioned a 17.60 MW AC solar power project in Tamil Nadu through its subsidiary Delta Renewable Energy Private Limited. The plant, with a DC capacity of 24.64 MW, was commissioned on September 22, 2026. 

The project adds to the company's solar capacity in the state and completes the solar expansion objective linked to its 2024 Rights Issue. 

New Plant Adds 17.60 MW Capacity 

The newly commissioned project has an installed capacity of 17.60 MW AC and 24.64 MW DC. It is spread across one or more locations in Vandavasi Taluk and Chetpet Taluk in Thiruvannamalai district. 

The plant was commissioned during the late evening hours of September 22. 

Delta Renewable Energy Developed The Project 

The project has been developed by Delta Renewable Energy Private Limited, a subsidiary of Orient Green Power. 

For the project, Delta had entered into an EPC contract with Remon Solutions Private Limited in December 2025. The contract covered the development of the 17.60 MW AC, or 24.64 MW DC, solar project. 

Total Solar Capacity Reaches 24.6 MW 

The latest commissioning takes Orient Green Power's total installed solar capacity to 24.6 MW AC, equivalent to 34.44 MW DC. 

The company had previously commissioned a 7 MW AC solar plant, with 9.8 MW DC capacity, in December 2025. The new project therefore adds substantially to the solar capacity already operational. 

2024 Rights Issue Expansion Target Completed 

With the latest project now commissioned, the company said its combined solar capacity has reached the level linked to the solar expansion objective committed under its 2024 Rights Issue. 

The expansion now stands at 24.6 MW AC and 34.44 MW DC based on the company's stated installed capacity.

As of 23 September 2026, at 12:47 PM, Orient Green Power Company Ltd share price is trading at ₹9.06 per share, reflecting a surge of 0.67% from the previous trading session.
