Orient Green Power Arm Signs ₹32.9 Cr Wind Repowering Contract with Suzlon

Orient Green Power Company Limited has informed exchanges that its material step-down subsidiary, Clarion Wind Farm Private Limited, has approved and executed a contract with Suzlon Energy Limited for repowering its existing wind farm at Devarkulam, Tamil Nadu. 

The approval was granted by Clarion’s Investment/Borrowing/Banking Committee at its meeting held on January 28, 2026.

Key Details of the Contract

Under the agreement, Suzlon Energy Limited will supply three Wind Energy Generators (WEGs), each with a capacity of 2.1 MW, aggregating to a total capacity of 6.3 MW. 

The contract is domestic in nature and involves the supply of wind turbines for repowering existing infrastructure, aimed at improving efficiency and output from the current wind farm assets.

Project Timeline and Contract Value

The contract is scheduled to be executed on or before June 30, 2026. The total consideration agreed under the contract is ~₹32.87 crore, inclusive of GST.

OGPCL Enters Solar Power Segment with 7 MW Project Commissioning

Earlier in Dec 2025, the company informed the exchanges that, as part of its strategic diversification into solar power generation, has successfully commissioned a 7 MW AC solar power project through its subsidiary, Delta Renewable Energy Private Limited. 

Located at Krishnasamudhram Village in Tiruttani Taluk, Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu, the project marks OGPCL’s formal entry into the solar energy sector, complementing its strong presence in wind power. 

Funded through a Rights Issue aimed at developing a larger 25 MW AC solar project, the 7 MW facility received its service connection on December 5, 2025, and was commissioned on December 6, 2025 after completing all procedural requirements, reinforcing the company’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio.

On January 29, 2026, Orient Green Power share price opened at ₹10.84, touching the day’s low at ₹10.14, as of 1:09 PM on the NSE.
