Orient Electric Share Price in Focus; Appoints Deepankar Bhattacharjee as Head of Internal Audit

Orient Electric Limited has appointed Deepankar Bhattacharjee as Head of Internal Audit with effect from September 10, 2026, as per an exchange filing. The company’s Board of Directors approved the appointment through a resolution passed by circulation on the same date.  

The appointment followed a recommendation from the Nomination & Remuneration Committee. Bhattacharjee has also been designated as Senior Management Personnel of the company. The position is a full-time appointment.  

Bhattacharjee’s Experience 

Bhattacharjee is a Chartered Accountant with more than 15 years of post-qualification experience. His areas of work include internal audit, risk-based internal control design and testing, compliance assurance, business process reviews, and risk assessment.  

His experience also covers investigations, implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and agreed-upon procedures. The details were provided by Orient Electric as part of the information disclosed to the stock exchanges.  

Previous Position at Indus Towers 

Before joining Orient Electric, Bhattacharjee was Regional Head, Internal Audit & Assurance (North) at Indus Towers Limited. This was his most recent position before the appointment at Orient Electric.  

He previously spent more than a decade with Schneider Electric. His last position at the company was Internal Control Head for the Greater India Zone. His earlier experience also includes internal audit roles at Apollo Tyres Limited and Deloitte.
