
Orient Electric Limited, a part of the CKA Birla Group, announced its financial results for the first quarter of FY27. The company reported strong growth in revenue and profit, driven by healthy demand across its Electrical Consumer Durables (ECD), Lighting, and Switchgear businesses.
Revenue from operations increased 23.5% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹949.8 crore, compared to ₹769.1 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company's growth was broad-based across its product portfolio.

The improvement in margins was supported by disciplined cost management, better product mix, and pricing measures.
Managing Director & CEO Ravindra Singh Negi said the company delivered a healthy performance despite inflationary pressures and a challenging business environment.
He added that growth was led by the Electrical Consumer Durables and Lighting businesses, while investments in the Switchgear and Wires segments are helping diversify the company's portfolio. The company also continued to focus on premium products and innovation, including its Aerosilent fan range and BLDC fans, while pricing actions and cost optimisation supported margin expansion.

It has a presence in more than 30 countries, serves around 1.35 lakh retail outlets across India, and operates a service network covering over 450 cities.

The stock opened at ₹179.40, touched an intraday high of ₹182.90, and a low of ₹168.70.
