Oriana Power has taken a significant step in expanding its clean energy portfolio by signing a long-term green ammonia offtake agreement.
The development aligns with India’s broader push towards green hydrogen and sustainable energy solutions under national policy initiatives.
The company has signed a Green Ammonia Purchase Agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), under which it will supply 60,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually.
The contracted price stands at ₹52.25 per kg, translating into a total agreement value of approximately ₹3,135 crore over a 10-year period.
This long-term arrangement provides strong revenue visibility and reduces demand-side uncertainty, which is particularly critical in emerging segments like green hydrogen and its derivatives.
The agreement also ensures a defined offtake structure, supporting project viability and financial stability.
The project will be developed in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, where Oriana Power will undertake end-to-end execution, including project development, regulatory approvals, and land-related clearances.
The project had earlier been awarded under a government-backed programme aimed at accelerating green hydrogen adoption in India.
By securing both project execution and offtake visibility, the company is positioning itself to scale operations efficiently in the green fuels segment.
With this development, Oriana Power is expanding beyond traditional renewable energy generation into green ammonia, a key derivative of green hydrogen.
This segment is expected to play an important role in industries such as fertilisers, where reducing dependence on imported fossil-based inputs remains a priority.
The move also aligns with India’s objective of strengthening energy security and building domestic capabilities in next-generation fuels.
Long-term contracts such as this are crucial for enabling investments and accelerating adoption across industrial sectors.

As of 01 April 2026, at 3:30 PM, Oriana Power share price closed at ₹1711.35 per share, reflecting a surge of 10.18% from the previous closing price.
The ₹3,135 crore agreement marks a strategic milestone for Oriana Power as it enters the green ammonia segment with strong revenue visibility and execution clarity. The development strengthens its positioning in the clean energy value chain and supports long-term growth as demand for sustainable fuel solutions continues to rise.
