One MobiKwik Share Price Up Nearly 5% After Company Swings to ₹7.6 Crore Q1 Profit

One MobiKwik Systems reported a net profit of ₹7.6 crore for the quarter ended June 2026, against a net loss of ₹41 crore in the same period last year, as per exchange filings dated August 3, 2026.
The June quarter was the company's third consecutive quarter of profitability. Revenue from operations rose 4% year-on-year to ₹281 crore from ₹271 crore.
The company reported EBITDA of ₹8 crore, compared with an EBITDA loss of ₹42 crore in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin improved to 37% from 28%, while lending-related operating expenses declined to ₹2 crore from ₹30 crore over the same period.
Payments Business Remains the Largest Contributor
Payments continued to account for the bulk of the company's business during the quarter. Gross merchandise value (GMV) reached ₹58,700 crore, up 50% from a year earlier. This was the 14th consecutive quarter in which the company reported year-on-year GMV growth.
UPI transactions increased 2.3 times compared with the corresponding quarter last year. During the quarter, the customer base expanded to 193 million and the merchant network increased to 5.02 million.
The company also said it remained the largest prepaid payment instrument (PPI) wallet and among the two fastest-growing UPI applications in India.
Financial Services Performance
The financial services segment reported gross profit of ₹43.3 crore, compared with ₹7.7 crore in the June quarter of the previous financial year. Net financial services margin rose to 5.9% from 1.1%, reflecting an improvement in credit quality.
ZIP EMI GMV stood at ₹736.7 crore, an increase of 6% year-on-year. Around 60% of loans were extended to repeat customers, while credit performance improved by around 25%, according to the company.
Regulatory Approval for Lending Unit
During the quarter, One MobiKwik received approval to establish MobiKwik Financial Services, its lending subsidiary.
The company noted that lending operations will begin after it receives the Reserve Bank of India's certificate of registration and fulfils the remaining regulatory requirements.
The subsidiary will provide secured and unsecured loans to retail customers and small businesses, allowing lending activity to be carried out through a regulated entity.
