Ola Electric marked 2025 as a milestone year by entering the electric motorcycle segment with the launch of the Roadster X, while also recording major advances in indigenous technology, customer experience, and community-led growth.
Ola Electric introduced the Roadster X electric motorcycle in India, signalling its strategic move beyond scooters into the motorcycle category.
Positioned as a next-generation EV for mass adoption, the Roadster X strengthens the company’s two-wheeler portfolio. Alongside this launch, Ola rolled out MoveOS 5, enabling over-the-air updates that improved vehicle performance, responsiveness, and overall rider experience.
The year also saw innovation showcases such as the Diamondhead electric superbike concept and the certification of India’s first indigenous Ferrite motor.
A key achievement in 2025 was the development of India’s first dry electrode cell, the 4680 Bharat Cell, designed and built entirely in-house.
Ola began delivering scooters powered by this cell across several southern states, marking the first real-world deployment of fully indigenous cell technology in India.
The year concluded with government certification of the Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh variant powered by the 4680 Bharat Cell, offering a certified range of up to 500.00 km on a single charge, positioning it as the longest-range electric vehicle in the country.
Ola Electric strengthened its customer engagement through initiatives such as the Ola Muhurat Mahotsav, which witnessed rapid festive-season sales with daily sell-outs.
The introduction of Hyperdelivery enabled same-day or next-day scooter deliveries, while the Hyperservice model delivered faster service turnaround, starting with same-day service in Bengaluru and planned nationwide expansion.
In parallel, the company’s community grew beyond 1.00 million members in 2025, becoming India’s largest EV and energy community.
Ola also expanded into clean energy solutions with the launch of Ola Shakti, a residential battery energy storage system aimed at providing reliable and sustainable power for homes.
