
Ola Electric share price rallied 10% and hit the upper circuit on Wednesday. The surge in the stock comes after the company recently announced the launch of a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) to raise funds from eligible institutional investors.
Ola Electric Mobility Limited informed exchanges that its Fund-Raising Committee approved the opening of a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) on June 1, 2026.
The committee approved the preliminary placement document and fixed the floor price for the issue at ₹37.74 per equity share, calculated in accordance with SEBI ICDR Regulations. The company has also stated that it may offer a discount of up to 5% on the floor price, subject to applicable regulations and shareholder approval.
The final issue price will be determined by the company in consultation with the book running lead managers.

Comparing the shareholding pattern for the March 2026 quarter with the preceding December 2025 quarter, promoter holding in Ola Electric remained unchanged at 34.59%.
Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) marginally reduced their stake to 4.00% from 4.08%, while Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) also trimmed their holding to 7.01% from 7.28% during the quarter.
Meanwhile, public shareholding increased to 49.64% in March 2026 from 49.21% in December 2025, indicating a slight rise in retail and non-institutional ownership of the company.
Ola Electric share price has witnessed a strong rally in recent months. Over the last 3 months, the stock has gained 82.14%, significantly outperforming the benchmark Sensex, which declined 7.34% during the same period.
On June 3, 2026, the stock surged 10% and hit its upper circuit limit and finally closed at ₹43.84 per share on the BSE.
Ola Electric shares continued their strong upward momentum on Wednesday, hitting the upper circuit and extending gains recorded over the past three months. Meanwhile, the company has initiated a QIP process, with a floor price of ₹37.74 per share, as it seeks to raise capital from qualified institutional investors.
