Ola Electric has approved an investment of ₹1,500 crore in OET and ₹500 crore in OCT. This investment will be made through the acquisition of Compulsory Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS) at ₹10 each.
The funds are intended to support the business requirements of both subsidiaries, ensuring they remain key players in their respective sectors.
Subsidiary Operations and Financials
OET is involved in providing services across the electric vehicles value chain and the manufacture and supply of electric vehicles.
Its turnover for the financial year 2024-25 was ₹4,717.48 crore. OCT, on the other hand, focuses on the manufacturing, processing, and distribution of batteries and cells, with a turnover of ₹73 crore for the same period.
Transaction Structure and Timeline
The investment will be completed through cash consideration, with the entire process expected to conclude by May 14, 2027.
Post-investment, Ola Electric will maintain 100% control over both subsidiaries, ensuring they remain integral parts of the company's strategic framework.

OET was incorporated on January 6, 2021, and has shown substantial growth in its turnover over the past three years.
